This deluxe edition is hand-bound in Australian calf hide by the Dove Bindery, Melbourne, and housed in a decorated and felt-lined clamshell box. The book is illustrated profusely throughout with Norman Lindsay’s artwork, featuring 292 pages. The text is set in 13-point Baskerville type and printed on Teton Text paper by Wilke and Company Limited in Clayton, Victoria. This edition is limited to 527 copies, each signed by Jane Lindsay, the daughter of the artist. This copy, however, remains unnumbered. The book’s illustrations accompany a series of humorous, bawdy stories set in a fantastical country called Pattipanonia. Lindsay’s stories were translated into English for this edition ten years after his death.
