First Paperback Edition 1st Impression Published By Pan Books Ltd London 1955…………………………… His is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher’s original pictorial soft covers with Bond on the front cover playing Poker. This is the First Paperback Edition of 1955. This copy has one previous name of’Casino Gillian’ to the half title page. There has been tape applied to the join of the first half title page with hinge join, the book has no blank front endpaper. The pages are tanned with is the usual case with these early pan titles and some age toning to the fore-edge is also noted. Pages are clean without markings and there no turned corners and NO loose pages etc. The spine shows well with no loss or chips present. Slight evidence of rubbing along extremities of the spine. The book has had an acetate cover neatly applied but it’s important to add that no tape has been applied to the pastedowns or endpapers. A more than decent copy of the First paperback edition 1st printing of the first Fleming novel and becoming increasingly more difficult to acquire.
