This is George Locke’s copy, signed by the publisher Philip Harbottle and by E C Tubb himself. E C Tubb (Ted Tubb) wrote an incredible amount of science fiction, supernatural fantasy, detective and western fiction, contained in more than 200 short stories and novelettes, and over 130 books. At his peak in the 1950s he was writing over 40,000 words per week. The publisher has written to the front page “These are the last copies of the first printing of 200 copies – Phil Harbottle 6/5/2000″. Of Tubb’s hundreds of short stories his tales of Malkar, a sword and sorcery hero, are particularly admired. They first appeared in Weird Tales Magazine. This is the second full length Malkar novel.
