The Beatles GET BACK book RARE PRINT ERROR 1st Edition LIMITED Apple London 1969
The Beatles Get Back, a rare first edition published by Apple Publishing in London, 1969. This was never for sale, it came in a deluxe edition of the vinyl album in 1970. We also think this is a special early run that has some errors that have been corrected at the printers. On the credits pages the credits have been added with a sticker. It’s identical to a printed copy we have seen in terms of text and layout but this copy has it added as a sticker. Some sort of error correction making it very rare indeed! See the 3rd from last photograph. One further difference is that the outside cover has a matt black edge to it and it measures 1 cm x 0.5 cm larger that a previous copy that we had. We think this was printed somewhere in the world by a local record company printer who made some errors and rather than ditch them has repaired them. The inside pages seem identical and normal high quality but it makes this a very rare and collectable copy. The matt edge is very subtle so we have not added more detailed photos as we’d rather show more of the internals. Photographs by Ethan A. Text by Jonathan Cott and David Dalton. This music biography is the sought after FIRST – and only – EDITION. Is this the best ever photography book on the Beatles? The access is amazing. Packed with rare unseen photos of the band, along with interviews and behind the scenes images. Also includes many images from the famous rooftop gig. Octavo (26 x 20cm). Illustrated with colour photographs throughout. Super seventies fashion and hair references! Publisher’s glossy black softcovers with white titles to spine and colour photographs to upper. A companion book issued with the earliest UK and Canadian copies of the “Let It Be” LP in a deluxe box set (1970) – so only ever available in Canada and Britain! This makes it even more scarce being published in limited numbers. The 1969 book bears the original album title’Get Back’. Not to be confused with similar facsimile edition produced for an Italian CD box set made in the 1990s. Genre – Illustrated & Plate Books, Rock, Pop & Vinyl, Pop Culture, 70s music and seventies fashion references. Some’unmentioned compositions’ are published by George Harrison’s publishing company Harrisongs. 28 x 21.7 (normally 27 x 21.5 cm) 600g. Excellent condition, it’s 52 years old and has light wear to the softback cover. We have added three separate photos of the cover please inspect. The photographs you see are of the actual book that you will receive; we do not use stock images. Also see the printing errors we have discovered that make it very rare and more collectable. The inside cover has a slight separation from the black cover, this is normal in all copies we have seen and the binding is still tight. Mailed in an archive sleeve inside a sturdy cardboard sleeve. We are happy to combine orders. This item is in the category “Books, Comics & Magazines\Antiquarian & Collectable”. The seller is “vintage.magazines” and is located in this country: GB. This item can be shipped worldwide.
