Rare vintage hardback book with dust jacket. Now first published with an Introduction by Walter Frere, C. Lately Bishop of Truro. This First Edition published 1936. This Edition is limited to 250 copies for sale. This is number 213. The book measures 17cm x 22cm. Please look at all the photos for the best understanding of the condition and contents. There are some signs of age, use and wear. The dust jacket is visibly discoloured, well worn/torn, and has significant foxing/spotting, however it remains functional. The hard cover has significant surface fading, discolouration, staining and wear. There is some occasional age/use related page discolouration/creasing dotted throughout, foxing/brown spotting etc. All text is clearly legible. Overall contents binding appears good, firm and complete. There is a previous owner inscription on the front end paper. Overall remains in good reading condition, a rare book, with as described clear signs of age, use and wear, most notably the brown spotting/foxing typical with age. RARE 1916 LIMITED EDITION ALEXANDER IRVINE MY LADY OF CHIMNEY CORNER BOOK (P3). Great RARE antique LIMITED EDITION PRIVATELY PUBLISHED fiction hardback book from 1916 by Alexander Irvine. Photos 3 & 4 show a sticker to say this book is ” Privately published edition limited to 150 copies” and “autographed by the author” but there is no signature so it looks like Alexander Irvine never got around to signing this book. As the sticker is over the publisher and date information, you can see that information in photo 5 when holding the page up to the light. B inding and pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 107 years old. See photos for examples of pages inside. International Standard takes 7 to 10 days. Well preserved copy of book eighty eight in the series in colour illustrated cloth lined card covers. A story dating back to pre 17th century European folk tales of a young girl and a big bad wolf with five full page beautiful colour illustrations. Stapled binding with all twelve leaves tear proof and cloth lined. Wear commensurate with vintage includes spine wear, chipped edges, corner crease and a few smudges. A few old repairs (image four) appear professionally restored to a very high standard. No inscriptions, folds, creases, tears or missing pages.
