As image uploads are limited in number, and only so much information about a book can be listed here, please contact me with any questions pertaining to any of my books. Extremely Rare, Handcrafted, Numbered, Collector’s, Limited, Luxury, Leather 1st Edition of “Necronomicon Liber Mortuorum” (Necronomicon Book of the Dead). Only 99 books will be crafted. Each will be hand-numbered. Illustrations: Includes around 200, many of which are from the books in the 1981 and 2013 “Evil Dead” films. Binding: Hand-sewn and Bound in 1.2mm Full Top Grain Leather not the thin. 4mm traditional book binding “bonded” leather. Dimensions: 9 1/4″ Tall X 6 5/8″ Wide X 2 1/4 Thick. Paper: 80 pound cover Mohawk Cream. End Pages: Inferno Red Silk Moiré. End Bands: Inferno Red sewn. Solid Brass Engraved Gate Seal on Cover. Well, those that know me knew this was coming.. I had to pay tribute to a great (and horrific) book that was featured in several great (and horrific) films (most notably the “Evil Dead” franchise) and was birthed by a great man, a Mr. I had no tea bags or blow torch while making this book but I figured there were enough of those “versions” already available out there. I wanted more of a handsome tome, concealing a chaotic hell within its covers. I wanted to put my own spin on this work (as I try to do with everything), so I chose to lay it out as following. A Historical Introduction to. (The Book of the Dead) – This gives us the essential background pertaining to the book itself. (Abdul Alhazred) – A biography on the Mad Arab who allegedly wrote the original old tome. (John Dee) – A biography on the man who allegedly later translated said tome. Lovecraft – A biography on the REAL mad genius behind it all. The Testimony of the Mad Arab – The exact words of Abdul Alhazred. The Tome of the Evil Dead (1981) – An entire chapter layout using the images and fonts from the bad book itself in the 1981 film “Evil Dead”. The Tome of the Evil Dead (2013) – An entire chapter layout using the images and fonts from the bad book itself in the 2013 film “Evil Dead”. This is thee most complete and inclusive edition of The Necronomicon on the market. In all, I used nine custom fonts in the production of this book, seven of them from the films. This book was written, designed, printed, hand-sewn, and bound by myself. Only 99 will be crafted. This is included in the same limited series as the edition with the red sewn Gate Seal upon the cover. No more will ever be produced or available by me. I can sign and personalize the book upon request. I thank you for your time and consideration. Some useful information to consider.. Regarding the paper I use. The paper is 80 pound cover Mohawk Cream so no worries about bleed-through. Mohawk Superfine is the finest printing paper made today. No other paper has the same reputation for quality, consistency and uniformity. Superfine inspires great design with its superb formation, lush tactility, archival quality and timeless appeal. Regarding the woods I use. I construct my cover boards and spine board from 3/16 LuAnn (floor underlayment). This provides extreme durability and the highest resistance to warping. Any trim work is done in solid Maple. 1 Full Grain Leather. For only for the most high-end products. Full grain leather only uses the very highest (closest to the air) layer of skin, which is the toughest, most durable, and most beloved. It is left unfinished, meaning it has completely unique characteristics, creases, and coloring. Because of the smaller amount of leather on the surface of each animal and the difficulty of working with full grain toughness, the price is understandably high. 2 Top Grain Leather (Which is the leather I use for my works). To get high-quality goods at a much more reasonable price. The most common “luxury” leather is top grain, which takes the layer of skin just below full grain and works it lightly to remove imperfections. It is smoother and more consistent than full grain, but easier to work as well, keeping the price down. While not as durable as full grain, it is still a strong, well-crafted leather. Usually has a suede side or feeling to it. Genuine leather is made by stripping off the harder, more expensive grains from the top, then using the softer, easier to work leather underneath. It is not as durable as full or top grain, but it is much cheaper since it can be manufactured into a variety of goods with ease. Remember – genuine leather is a specific grade, not the phrase for real leather. If you request genuine leather in a leather shop, they will have a specific type of product in mind. 4 Bonded Leather (Which is the Leather used for traditional book binding). Is made from ground up and glued leather shavings. While bonded leather is still leather, it isn’t an unbroken or regular piece of animal skin. Instead, the shavings from all the other leather grades are collected, ground up, and mixed with an adhesive liquid to make a piece of leather. Though cheap, the quality is severely lacking. Because the quality is less impressive, bonded leather is often used for book covers and other smaller, less worn items. Regarding the glues I use. I use 6 different glues throughout the process. I will not get into that information here. Delomelanicon, witch, warlock, witchcraft, occult, pagan, paganism, wicca, wiccan, devil, satan, lucifer, goetia, demon, magic, magick, spells, tarot, art, craft, handcrafted, handmade, hand, made, journal, pentacle, pentagram. The dustjacket comes with an additional cellophane covering to protect the cover. The book is in LIKE NEW condition. Read once – from my own private collection. Price is based on the weight with packaging. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS. Check out my other listings! Published in 2014 by Orion Books / ISBN – 9781409109471. Line sequence 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2. Sherlock Holmes is dead. Days after Holmes and his arch-enemy Moriarty fall to their doom at the Reichenbach Falls, Pinkerton agent Frederick Chase arrives in Europe from New York. The death of Moriarty has created a poisonous vacuum which has been swiftly filled by a fiendish new criminal mastermind who has risen to take his place. Ably assisted by Inspector Athelney Jones of Scotland Yard, a devoted student of Holmes’s methods of investigation and deduction, Frederick Chase must forge a path through the darkest corners of the capital to shine light on this shadowy figure, a man much feared but seldom seen, a man determined to engulf London in a tide of murder and menace. Author of the global bestseller THE HOUSE OF SILK, Anthony Horowitz once more breathes life into the world created by Arthur Conan Doyle. With pitch-perfect characterisation and breath-taking pace, Horowitz weaves a relentlessly thrilling tale which teases and delights by the turn of each page. The game is afoot.. Thrilling and compelling, with a stunning twist, this is written as if Conan Doyle were at Horowitz’s shoulder, and is – in my view – the finest crime novel of the year. He captures Conan Doyle’s narrative technique to perfection. Gory murders, honest thieves, brilliant disguises, breathless chases and red herrings abound (DAILY EXPRESS) A relentlessly fast-paced and entertaining read (SUNDAY TIMES) An unpredictable and twist-filled mystery from start to finish. But what do you expect from the man penning the next James Bond novel? (SHORTLIST) I hope it won’t be the last of Horowitz’ Holmes novels: should he publish another, I will be at the front of the queue. (SPECTATOR) Though Horowitz dishes up the gore and violence with relish, he also offers all the tropes one might expect from a Holmes yarn, including baffling coded messages, impossible murders and clever red herrings… Plotting is just as brilliantly gnarly [as THE HOUSE OF SILK] but its tone more self-aware and laced with in-jokes. (FINANCIAL TIMES) “His new novel, Moriarty, begins with a bravura dissection of Doyle’s story “The Final Problem in which he points out all the discrepancies, loose ends and improbabilities of behaviour. The remainder of the book is partly an ingenious exercise in explaining them away. ” (DAILY TELEGRAPH) “In this skilfully executed follow on, Horowitz takes up the Conan Doyle baton and creates a suitably stylish and twisty detective story. (SUNDAY MIRROR) THE HOUSE OF SILK, was very popular and a solid piece of work – well constructed, skilfully executed and persuasively tinged with that alluring sooty flavour of 1890s London. His second, MORIARTY, is much the same, but bolder in its ambitions (GUARDIAN) The plot is gripping and the writing most readable. In fact I must make a confession: I would rather read Horowitz than his model, Arthur Conan Doyle. This item is in the category “Books, Comics & Magazines\Books”. The seller is “yourmusicandmore” and is located in this country: GB. Stuart Turton Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle Signed Numbered 1st Goldsboro
A highly collectable signed and low numbered limited edition of the bestselling debut novel from award-winning English travel journalist and short-story writer Stuart Turton. This received universally strong reviews, securing TV rights options 6 months ahead of the publication date (a 7-part Netflix series is planned) and subsequently won the prestigious 2018 Costa First Novel Award, as well as being nominated for a number of other awards. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle’ published by Raven Books, London (a Bloomsbury imprint) on 8 February 2018 as a trade edition, this special edition was in conjunction with Goldsboro Books, 1st edition, large modern hardback, [x] + 511 pages. Flat hand signed and hand numbered in red by the author at a special limitation page for this limited edition release, this copy is quite a low number being copy number 84 from the limited worldwide release of only 1000 copies. In fine unread condition, some light storage wear at gutter ends. The book has black head & tail bands and a black ribbon page marker. All text block edges are sprayed red. This copy comes with an exclusive promotional bookmark – a copy was only supplied with a limited number of copies of this edition. A brilliantly original high concept murder mystery from a fantastic new talent: Gosford Park meets Inception, by way of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. Somebody’s going to be murdered at the ball tonight. It won’t appear to be a murder and so the murderer won’t be caught. Rectify that injustice and I’ll show you the way out. It is meant to be a celebration but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed. But Evelyn will not die just once. Until Aiden – one of the guests summoned to Blackheath for the party – can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself, over and over again. Every time ending with the fateful pistol shot. The only way to break this cycle is to identify the killer. But each time the day begins again, Aiden wakes in the body of a different guest. And someone is determined to prevent him ever escaping Blackheath.. This book blew my mind. It is utterly original and unique. I couldn’t get it out of my head for days afterwards (Sophie Hannah). The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is a mind-bending mash-up of Agatha Christie, Quantum Leap and Groundhog Day. If it isn’t made into a film in the very near future, I’ll eat my deerstalker. (Jake Kerridge Sunday Express). Multiple items – Please review my other listings to see if there are any other items which are of interest to you.
