Jérôme Alquié (born April 12, 1975) is a French illustrator, colorist, and writer with a passion for 1980s cartoons. Commencing his career by crafting artbooks and celluloids dedicated to series such as Saint Seiya, Ulysses 31, and Captain Harlock, Alquié also contributed concept art for characters in Captain Future and Captain Harlock. His deep affinity for the Captain Harlock universe led to a remarkable collaboration with Leiji Matsumoto, the character’s creator. Together, they produced a 3-issue comic book series titled “Capitaine Albator: Mémoires de l’Arcadia” (“Captain Harlock: Memories of the Arcadia”). Matsumoto personally reviewed and approved Alquié’s stories and artwork. Notably, Richard Darbois, the French voice actor of Harlock in Space Pirate Captain Harlock, lent his voice to the trailer for Alquié’s comic, adding an extra touch of sophistication. Jérôme Alquié’s artistic contributions extend to creating numerous drawings for DVD releases of various cartoons, including M. Captain Future, Inspector Gadget, Ulysses 31, Saint Seiya, and Transformers. He consistently honors the art styles of the source material in his work. Jerome created an Encyclopedia book for “UFO ROBOT Grendizer” in 1999. The book is being offered in excellent condition, essentially Brand New. It contains around 200 pages with numerous drawings, including full-color illustrations, all presented on fully glossy pages. There is an opportunity to acquire a copy (Re-Issue) of this limited edition book before it becomes truly unavailable forever.

On offer is a hand signed hardback 1st edition 1st impression limited edition slipcased autobiography of former Liverpool and Scotland Legend Kenny Dalglish. This limited edition is limited to only 1,000 worldwide. The number is unknown as this is brand new and still sealed in the publishers original shrink wrap. Synopsis Kenny Dalglish’s relationship with Liverpool Football Club is one of the great love stories of sport. From the moment he first set foot in the Anfield dressing room nervously asking for autographs while having a trial at the club, Dalglish felt a passion for Liverpool stir within him. After joining from Celtic in 1977, the supremely gifted striker was embraced by Liverpool fans, for the goals and the glory, and most especially for the three European Cups. The Kop’s adoration of King Kenny has never ebbed. Every game, they still sing his name. Liverpool fans have never forgotten how Dalglish held the club together through two tragedies, the first at the Heysel stadium in Brussels in 1985 and then at Hillsborough in 1989. Both disasters are explored at length and in emotional detail by Dalglish in My Liverpool Home. Eventually, for the sake of his health and his family, Dalglish resigned and Liverpool have not won the title since. My Liverpool Home is the story of Dalglish’s epic love affair with Liverpool, tracing the highs and lows, the characters, the laughter, the triumphs and the many tears. For football fans, this revealing book about one of the game’s greatest players is a must. For those fascinated by how a very private man suffered after very publicly supporting his community, Dalglish’s emotional story makes compelling reading.

P E R D U R A B O. Mary D’Este Sturges (Soror Virakam). Limited to to 111 (one hundred and eleven) sets each bound in black leather and black linen, titles and seal of A. In silver, each volume with purple endpapers. This new edition published on the 111th anniversary of the commencement of the ABULDIZ magickal experiement which culminated in the eventual publication of’Book Four’ in 1912/13. Aleister Crowley was introduced to Mary D’Este Sturges at dinner in the middle of October 1911, their subsequent relationship and travels through Europe led them to the’Villa Caldarazzo’ where, in a state of higher consciousness, Frater Perdurabo (aka Aleister Crowley) dictated the contents of Book Four to Soror Virakam (aka Mary D’Este Sturges). During their early relationship and travels, Mary D’Este Sturges began to experience communications from an astral entity identifying himself as the Wizard Abuldiz. At first Crowley was inclined to disregard these seemingly incoherent transmissions until one day the medium gave him details of a secret nature which convinced him that the Secret Chiefs of his Order were trying to establish contact from higher planes. Crowley began to record the communications in detail and continued testing the astral being called Abuldiz with various means developed by him since his time in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. At one of the sittings Crowley experienced an inner vision of his own, during a transmission about a’villa’ which they were to locate and operate from, Crowley saw a mental vision of such a place with two tall Persian Nut trees at the entrance gate. It was whilst searching for the correct villa on a journey outside Posilippo near Naples that Mary D’Este Sturges urged the driver to detour down a rough track where, to their amazement, was a villa exactly as Abuldiz had described, complete with the two tall Persian Nut trees Crowley saw in his own vision. They took on the rental of the villa and, using the powerful’Preliminary Invocation’ of the Goetia, commenced summoning the being Abuldiz. During these magickal workings Crowley began dictating the very book Abuldiz had instructed them to’find’ at the Villa Caldarazzo, it manifested as the worlds first true scientific textbook of mysticism and ceremonial magick. The 1912 and 1913 first editions of’BOOK FOUR: parts 1 & 2. Crowley produced these volumes in a specifically square format, the work was intended to act as a talisman for the manifestation of his new magickal current, the current of the A. And the realization of’The Method of Science : the Aim of Religion’ credo of his magisterial esoteric publication’THE EQUINOX’. What is truly remarkable about the contents of BOOK FOUR is the union of both mystical and ceremonial magickal concepts and practices in a coherent whole that is expressed in such dynamic and succinct language it has never been surpassed. One is the Magus: twain His forces: four His weapons. These are the Seven Spirits of Unrighteousness; seven vultures of evil. Thus is the art and craft of the Magus but glamour. How shall He destroy Himself? Yet the Magus hath power upon the Mother both directly and through Love. And the Magus is Love, and bindeth together That and This in His Conjuration. In the beginning doth the Magus speak Truth, and send forth Illusion and Falsehood to enslave the soul. Yet therein is the Mystery of Redemption. By His Wisdom made He the Worlds; the Word that is God is none other than He. How then shall He end His speech with Silence? For He is Speech. He is the First and the Last. How shall He cease to number Himself? By a Magus is this writing made known through the mind of a Magister. The one uttereth clearly, and the other understandeth; yet the Word is falsehood, and the Understanding darkness. And this saying is Of All Truth. Nevertheless it is written; for there be times of darkness, and this as a lamp therein. With the Wand createth He. With the Cup preserveth He. With the Dagger destroyeth He. With the Coin redeemeth He. His weapons fulfil the wheel; and on What Axle that turneth is not known unto Him. From all these actions must He cease before the curse of His Grade is uplifted from Him. Before He attain to That which existeth without Form. And if at this time He be manifested upon earth as a Man, and therefore is this present writing, let this be His method, that the curse of His grade, and the burden of His attainment, be uplifted from Him. Let Him beware of abstinence from action. For the curse of His grade is that He must speak Truth, that the Falsehood thereof may enslave the souls of men. Let Him then utter that without Fear, that the Law may be fulfilled. And according to His Original Nature will that law be shapen, so that one may declare gentleness and quietness, being an Hindu; and another fierceness and servility, being a Jew; and yet another ardour and manliness, being an Arab. Yet this matter toucheth the mystery of Incarnation, and is not here to be declared. Now the grade of a Magister teacheth the Mystery of Sorrow, and the grade of a Magus the Mystery of Change, and the grade of Ipsissimus the Mystery of Selflessness, which is called also the Mystery of Pan. Let the Magus then contemplate each in turn, raising it to the ultimate power of Infinity. Wherein Sorrow is Joy, and Change is Stability, and Selflessness is Self. For the interplay of the parts hath no action upon the whole. And this contemplation shall be performed not by simple meditation -how much less then by reason! But by the method which shall have been given unto Him in His initiation to the Grade. Following which method, it shall be easy for Him to combine that trinity from its elements, and further to combine Sat-Chit-Ananda, and Light, Love, Life, three by three into nine that are one, in which meditation success shall be That which was first adumbrated to Him in the grade of Practicus (which reflecteth Mercury into the lowest world) in Liber XXVII, Here is Nothing under its three Forms. And this is the Opening of the Grade of Ipsissimus, and by the Buddhists it is called the trance Nerodha-Samapatti. And woe, woe, woe, yea woe, and again woe, woe, woe unto seven times be His that preacheth not His law to men! And woe also be unto Him that refuseth the curse of the grade of a Magus, and the burden of the Attainment thereof. And in the word CHAOS let the Book be sealed; yea, let the Book be sealed.

A special signed & pre-publication dated deluxe cloth-bound low-numbered slipcased 1st edition of this acclaimed novel from multiple award-winning novelist, critic, poet and short-story writer Dame Antonia Susan Duffy A. Byatt, who died on 16 November 2023 aged 87. One of the leading writers of the past 60 years, she won the Booker Prize in 1990 for’ Possession’, and was often mentioned as a possible candidate for the Nobel Prize for Literature. This novel was shortlisted for the 2009 Booker Prize and won the prestigious James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 2010. The Children’s Book’, published by Tuskar Rock Press in Dublin in May 2009, 1st edition, large clothbound hardback, [vi] + 617 pages. Flat hand signed by A. In very fine unread condition in a fine slipcase, no dustjacket as issued, a handful of light storage marks to the rear panel of the slipcase. A lovely copy of this low-run special signed deluxe edition, highly collectable given this scarcity, also being pre-publication dated and being a Booker Prize shortlisted title. Quite a heavy volume, weighing 1.2kg before being securely packed. WINNER OF THE 2010 JAMES TAIT BLACK MEMORIAL PRIZE. Olive Wellwood is a famous writer, interviewed with her children gathered at her knee. For each of them she writes a separate private book, bound in different colours and placed on a shelf. In their rambling house near Romney Marsh they play in a story-book world – but their lives, and those of their rich cousins, children of a city stockbroker, and their friends, the son and daughter of a curator at the new Victoria and Albert Museum, are already inscribed with mystery. Each family carries their own secrets. Into their world comes a young stranger, a working-class boy from the Potteries, drawn by the beauty of the Museum’s treasures. And in midsummer, a German puppeteer arrives, bringing dark dramas. The world seems full of promise but the calm is already rocked by political differences, by Fabian arguments about class and free love, by the idealism of anarchists from Russia and Germany. The sons rebel against their parents’ plans; the girls dream of independent futures, becoming doctors or fighting for the vote. This vivid, rich and moving saga is played out against the great, rippling tides of the day, taking us from the Kent marshes to Paris and Munich and the trenches of the Somme. Born at the end of the Victorian era, growing up in the golden summers of Edwardian times, a whole generation grew up unaware of the darkness ahead. In their innocence, they were betrayed unintentionally by the adults who loved them. In a profound sense, this novel is indeed the children’s book.
