Illustrated profusely throughout with four hundred monochrome illustrations including a frontispiece and an illustrated title page. This collection of artwork and pages from children’s books was collected by Andrew W. Tuer and aims to preserve the artwork and texts from works that may have been lost to time or forgotten. Publisher’s catalogue to the rear. In the publisher’s original cloth. Externally smart with bumping and slight rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Hinges starting with light offsetting and scattered spotting to the endpapers. Past owner’s ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Front free endpaper tender. Internally binding starting in places with two pages disbound but present. Fine – Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Meaning not very good. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under’condition. Good Only – Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults. Leaving a compromised copy even after repair. Really bad and possibly seriously incomplete.
