An absolutely amazing set in very good/excellent condition. Normally I’d be tempted to keep this, but I recently acquired a leather bound set of Dickens’ Works. I’m a huge Dickens fan and this is the second best uniform set I’ve found (Fireside Dickens is probably the connoisseur’s choice [I have one listed for sale at time of writing too], but this set has more illustrations). All volumes are generally excellent in terms of exterior, with only minor wear and tear. 3 (Oliver Twist/Child’s History), which has a small tear and some noticeable rubbing to bottom of spine (not major, but is definitely the outlier of the set and I wanted to draw attention to it). Volume 8 Christmas Books etc. And Volume 11 (Bleak House) have small scratches to spine (again, quite minor, but all other are only very very minor and generally clean). I haven’t forensically examined all books/pages, but from a fairly intensive check I’ve found only a handful examples of very light foxing. Some of the volumes have slight weaknesses to spine, but this is more of a case of hardback design and distribution of weight/number of pages than genuine damage. Otherwise, a bit grubby to page tips (I’ve not attempted to clean, but shouldn’t be an issue and appears mainly dust/grime from shelf life). Overall very good++ and a beautiful uniform set which looks amazing in a bookcase/similar. A very sought after set. Best of luck with any offers &####128077.

Let me be clear. This book is in prestine condition. I have tried to include as many pictures as possible but they certainly do not do justice. The book includes the original dust cover and case. The cover and sleeve are in great condition with little wear considering age. The pages do not appear to be read and I have demonstrated to my best ability to show that in the pictures. The pages look brand new and the pages make that crackling sound (like when you open a new book for the first time) when you slowly expand the book open. The Midnight Library’ published by Canongate Books, Edinburgh on 13 August 2020 as a trade edition, 1st edition, standard modern hardback, the trade edition contains 304 pages. A still sealed copy of this slipcase edition which will be flat hand signed by the author and numbered to show the number of this copy from the limited edition release of only 750 worldwide copies. In As New unread condition, still within the publisher plastic wrapping. I acquired this copy from a long-time collector of Goldsboro editions who received a single-number copy of every Goldsboro book that they ordered. All of the other books and sets of books I have acquired from this collector had that same single-digit number and they have confirmed to me that they would have asked for that number of this edition and when supplied it came with a loose slip of paper confirming that single number (thus unless Goldsboro have made a mistake when supplying the book, this copy will be a single-numbered example). A highly collectable signed Modern First, particularly as a still sealed and single-digit numbered example. Between life and death there is a library. 4 franklin press high quality editions. Lyrical Poets: Coleridge and keats. Michael de montagne :selected essay. Henry fielding -Tom jones. Thomas mann _ The magic mounain. All books are in generally very lean good shape.. However the Shakespeare and Thomas man books have some gold gilt edge loss… I think these are all considered quarter leather. These Books are very heavy and cost around 20 pounds each used.. So a good deal here.
