Bought directly from Books Illustrated, completely unread and very carefully handled. Hand bound in Alcantara fabric by Ludlow Bookbinders. Text printed letterpress on 120 gsm Munken paper by Nomad Letterpress, with pages gilded on all three sides in gold. With tipped-in frontispiece illustration, and bespoke endpapers showing an Italian mountain scene. The book is protected by a chemise with a cut-out to reveal the foil stamping of the book cover, and housed in a solander box bound in Alcantara fabric and stamped in gold. Alcantara fabric binding with gold embossing. Pages gilded to three sides in Gold. Housed in a gold embossed solander box with black trays. The book is further protected in a lined chemise with a cut-out to reveal the flaming ink heart of the book cover. A signed limited edition print by Alice Cao of Meggie reading her books.
