Each pop-up work is fully working. Exploring the magical world of fairies through history, including pieces on Shakespeare and the Queen of Fairyland, Charles Perrault as the father of fairy tales, folklore, elves and gnomes, and much more. A truly wonderful work. This copy is of a special limited edition of two hundred numbered copies, this copy number one hundred and seventy-seven, signed by both creators to a pop up illustration on the front board. Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher’s full cloth binding with pop-up illustration in colour to the front board. The pages are bright and clean. Each leaf fully illustrated in colour with full page and corner pop-up figures. Fine – Very well preserved copy showing very little wear. Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Meaning not very good. Some more serious faults as will. Be described in the condition report under’condition. Good Only – Meaning one or more faults that could really do with repair. As with good only above but with other faults. Leaving a compromised copy even after repair. Really bad and possibly seriously incomplete.
