Original binding of blue cloth with gilt lettering and decoration to spine, gilt decoration and blind stamped borders to upper cover. Top page edge gilt, fore and bottom pages untrimmed. Edition limited to 3000, of which this is number 184. Tissue guarded frontispiece and illustrations by Jean de Bosschere. Top page edge dusty, page edges and endpapers browned, some spotting to front and rear, otherwise the book is in very good condition in good slightly spine faded condition covers, which are rubbed to head and tail of spine.

The book is complete and tightly bound with no loss. Occasional spots of foxing and edge toning, else very good. The half leather bindings are also in a good general condition with some surface marking a rubbed spine fascia and some cracking to the top of the rear joint. Letterpress printed in Caslon 12 point font on Swedish Munken 150gsm paper with a tipped-in frontispiece image. Printed by Nomad Letterpress in the UK. Hand-bound in fine Nigerian goatskin leather with intricate foiling, by Ludlow Bookbinders in Shropshire, England. The pages are gilded on all three sides, with head and tail bands. Printed marbled endpapers designed by Paperwilds, and silk ribbon marker. Housed in a handmade, plush-lined leather chemise styled as a WW1 dispatch bag. The paper size is 240 x 170mm.
