Each copy is a one of a kind as it is completely handmade with a cover of genuine (not bonded) luxury leather with embellishments of metal filigree and The Auryn, made to look just like the book in the movie The Neverending Story. It also had binding reinforcements and two ribbon place holders. Most of this can be seen by the picture shown right. Internally, it is just as impressive. As the story vacillates between Bastian dialog and the story within the story, the color of the ink changes from red to green making it very easy to tell what dialog is being read. Each chapter head has a unique illustration by artist Roswith Quadflieg, examples of which follow below. It comes gift boxed and is wrapped in a muslin style cloth with hemp ties, also shown below. As an added bonus, there is a replica of the Auryn necklace that comes with each one. I’m sorry but I did not measure the chain but it looked long enough for most adults to wear as well as children. I comes in it’s own velour bag but is shown in the picture to the left, and below too! AGAIN, EACH ONE IS HAND MADE so there are going to be very small differences in the leather, but so far, each one has been VERY close to each other. I keep in stock the dark reddish brown, but if you are so inclined, you can special order it in a saddle-tan edition, shown right.
