Large, thick folio (395mm tall) bound in gilt-decorated calf by the Dove Bindery, Melbourne, in a decorated & felt-lined clamshell box, illustrated endpapers, 292pp. Profusely illustrated with Norman Lindsay illustrations. Limited to 527 copies signed by Jane Lindsay (the artist’s daughter), this is out of series. A charming series of illustrated humorous stories by Lindsay, published ten years after the artist’s death. A large and handsome deluxe edition in fine condition. A series of cheerful, bawdy short stories, placed in a fantasy country called Pattipanonia, the dukedom of the Duke of Fanfrolico, the capital of which is the town of Cathcrumpet. Signed by Jane Lindsay. Remains unnumbered by her. Hand bound in Australian calf hide. 394mm X 288mm X 42mm. Weight – 3.0kg. Book in good condition. Very clean inside with no issues. A couple of small marks to back cover. Light wear to top of spine – see pic 10. I will endeavour to highlight major imperfections in the item description, and within the photographs.
