A very old antique book from the year 1659 with a beautiful ex-libris hand drawn illustration of a skull in a flower on the inside with a date of 1677 underneath (likely from the first owner) as well as a beautifully illustrated front piece page. The name underneath the skull flower in Latin refers to the expression memento mori which means Remember that you have to die reminding us of our own fragile mortality. The title page has the date of 1659 in Roman numerals printed inside. The book though is very worn and missing its back cover, otherwise the book seems to be complete.
