Heavy boards with title and illustration to cover. 1/4 bound with vellum parchment spine. Eleven full page beautifully rendered illustrations, decorative title page, accompanying smaller illustrations plus an introduction by James Guthrie. EDITION OF 300 copies only, which came signed and numbered by Spare, but for some reason this copy was not signed or numbered. This book was acquired from the collection of noted artist, occultist and Austin Osman Spare collector, Stafford Stone. Condition: Vellum parchment spine is rather rubbed and discoloured with a few creases. Rubbing also to board edges and corners. A few cosmetic knocks and blemishes to heavy boards — more prominent on the back-cover board. As is usual with Spare’s art books — there is some slight shadowing of the plates upon the blank page opposite. Some light foxing and darkening of page edges to artist print paper.
