Published by Cercle D’Art in Paris, France in 1965, the book focuses on the subject of fine art. It is a special collector’s edition numbered 1169/2000. The book contains the reproductions of a series of drawings made by Picasso in 1964, on the occasion of the fourth centenary of William Shakespeare’s birth. There is some information and newspaper clippings attached to the front of the book, the paperclip has left a bit of a residue. The dust jacket is plain paper with handwriting on the top right edge, and looks like it could be an early replacement. The cover of the book itself is not as bright as some of the other examples we have seen. There is a trace of damage to the bottom edge of the spine.
