Philip Pullman Signed BkPlate The Rose Field Slipcased Book Of Dust 3 1st sealed
A rare signed’Raven’ bookplate to accompany a sealed copy of the new exclusive limited slipcased 1st edition of the much anticipated concluding 3rd book in’The Book of Dust’ series from acclaimed author Sir Philip Pullman. The 1st part of the series’ La Belle Sauvage’ was published in 2017. The 2nd part’ The Secret Commonwealth’ was released in 2019. The Book Of Dust – Volume 3 : The Rose Field’ published by David Fickling Books, London on 23 October 2025, 1st edition, large modern hardback, the trade hardback is listed as having 640 pages. Illustrated by Chris Wormell. This is on textured cream paper, featuring in my view the best version of his famous black raven image and is signed by Sir Philip Pullman in black pen. The bookplate itself measures just over 4in x 3in. This was the first major release of Sir Philip’s career where signed copies have not been available to order. He has spoken for some time of his issues with arthritis, which has prevented him from being able to hand-draft his recent works and seemingly must now prevent him from trying to sign 1000’s of copies of a new release. The slipcased book is in As New unread condition, still sealed in the publisher sellophane. No dustjacket as issued. Gilt lettering and gilt decoration to the orange cloth of the book and orange slipcase. This is quite a heavy book that weighs 1.25kg before being securely packed. The long-awaited and highly anticipated conclusion to Philip Pullman’s bestselling The Book of Dust sequence. Lyra: what will you do when you find this place in the desert, the opening to the world of the roses? Defend it,’ Lyra said. When readers left Lyra in. She was alone, in the ruins of a deserted city. Pantalaimon had run from her – part of himself – in search of her imagination, which he believed she had lost. Lyra travelled across the world from her Oxford home in search of her dæmon. And Malcolm, loyal Malcolm, too journeyed far from home, towards the Silk Roads in search of Lyra. Their quests converge in the most dangerous, breathtaking and world-changing ways. They must take help from spies and thieves, gryphons and witches, old friends and new, learning all the while the depth and surprising truths of the alethiometer. All around them, the world is aflame – made terrifying by fear, power and greed. As they move East, towards the red building that will reunite them and give them answers – on Dust, on the special roses, on imagination – so too does the Magisterium, at war against all that Lyra holds dear. Marking thirty years since the world was first introduced to Pullman’s remarkable heroine Lyra Belacqua in. Is the culmination of the cultural phenomenon of. The Book of Dust. Sometimes fate deals up a wild card. There’s a lot to be said for one of these wild cards and from what I’ve learned over the fifty or so years of our friendship, Chris is a card from the unexpected deck’ – from the foreword by Debbie Harry. In this no-holds-barred autobiography, Stein reveals himself-this time not in songwriting or photography, which he’s previously been known for, but in words. From a Brooklyn boyhood, a move across the river to the gritty and fecund East Village in the late 1970s allowed Stein to tap the explosive creativity that defined the era in the city. It was a time when David Bowie and the Ramones were also making music, when Andy Warhol was still alive and promoting Jean-Michel Basquiat’s work, when cool was defined not by where you came from but by what you could contribute to culture. UNDER A ROCK is a plunge into that vanished time period, and into the moments that turned the fresh sound and new look of punk and new wave into a giant artistic and commercial sensation. Stein takes us there in this revelatory, propulsive, distinctive memoir. All our signed books are supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity. The Certificates of Authenticity (COA). Kealan Patrick Burke KIN Signed CLASSIC edition SLIPCASED BEAUTIFUL In Hand
6″ x 9″ trim size. Limited to 500 copies. Signed by Kealan Patrick Burke. New exclusive introduction by the author. First publication of new prequel novella, Cottonmouth. Full cloth symth-sewn binding. Foil blocked cover and spine. Eight full color illustrations by Kealan Patrick Burke. Dust jacket illustrated by Kealan Patrick Burke (the only edition featuring this illustrated dust jacket). Printed offset on Mohawk Superfine paper. Text pages set in W. Dwiggins’ New Caledonia with a 19th century revival, AT Sackers Roman Light for display. Housed in an embossed paper covered slipcase. Bookmark with all pre-orders. First released in 2011, Kin was hailed as “one of the best Southern gothic novels in recent memory” (Dark Discoveries) and “a modern classic” (Fearnet), making an immediate impression upon readers as a violent departure from the author’s quiet ghost stories. The novel opens on a scorching hot summer day in Elkwood, Alabama, as Claire Lambert staggers naked, wounded, and half-blind away from the scene of an atrocity. She is the sole survivor of a nightmare that claimed her friends; and even as she prays for rescue, the killers are closing in. In the spirit of films like Deliverance and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Kin approaches its subject matter from a different angle, examining the aftermath of such horror. In Burke’s story of teens run afoul of religious zealots in the backwoods of Alabama, the focus is on what happens after the nightmare: the grief, the trauma, and ultimately, the thirst for vengeance. In Kin, the line that separates us from evil is fragile when revenge corrupts the innocent and turns good people into monsters. Set in the aftermath of the Great Depression in Tennessee, it is a time of religious fervor and charlatanism, of thieves, murderers, and moonshiners. With the threat of a second World War looming on the horizon, destiny will bring these three people together and set innocent young Jonah on the path to his eventual fate and a new name: Papa-In-Gray, the patriarch of the dreaded Merrill family whose horrific exploits were first introduced to the world in Kin.

A lovely unread copy of this signed slipcased 1st edition set of the US release of the final 2 published books from American author, playwright and screenwriter Cormac McCarthy, who died on 13 June 2023 aged 89. McCarthy was a hugely influential author, considered by many to be one of the greatest writers of the past 60 years. He won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2007 for’ The Road’ and had long been mooted as a serious candidate to be Nobel Laureate. A number of his books have been adapted into films, the most successful being the Coen Brothers’ 2007 adaptation of’ No Country for Old Men’, which won 4 Academy Awards. The Passenger’ published by Alfred A Knopf in New York on 6 December 2022 in this special edition (the same day as the signed UK special edition was released), 1st edition, large modern hardback, [x] + 385 pages. Stella Maris’ published by Alfred A Knopf in New York on 6 December 2022 in this special edition (the same day as the signed UK special edition was released) , 1st edition, large modern hardback, [iv] + 193 pages. Cormac McCarthy has hand signed each volume to the first blank endpaper. In very fine unread condition, deckled edge finish to the fore-edge of each book. Housed in a slipcase which covers about 3/4 of the length of the book, which was a slightly unusual design. Some slight production/storage wear at the spine ends, which is very common with all of the copies of this US set I have seen and handled, given they are exposed out of the slipcase. The slipcase is still covered in the original publisher sellophane – the books have only been removed by the original dealer to check that both were signed (a prudent check given that there is no noticeable difference in design between the signed & unsigned copies of this US set) and by myself to take these photos. I will also include (not photograhed) a promotional bookmark for the UK release of these books with this copy. A highly collectable signed set of the US 1st editions of these final 2 books from Cormac McCarthy. This set weighs 1.4kg before being securely packed. Multiple items – Please review my other listings to see if there are any other items which are of interest to you. I will be regularly listing items for sale, please save me as one of your favourite sellers for the future, thanks.

Promised Land SIGNED Jack Dann First (1st) edition Limited Numbered Slipcased
A fine collectable for Jack Dann fans, a superb collection of seven short stories, one novella and two novelettes with an essay where Jack explores his atmospheric Alternate America. This is #118 of a two hundred hardcover, signed, numbered, slipcased edition, see photos… One of the signed Limited First editions of Promised Land – Stories of Another America. Promised Land is signed on the limitation page by author Jack Dann and Kim Stanley Robinson author of the Introduction. Jack takes us on a fascinating and absorbing journey through an Alternate America originally created in The Rebel: An Imagined Life of James Dean. Very appropriate cover art and design by Vincent Chong (see photos). Not content with this superb showcasing of Jack’s amazing writing, this book has an original dust jacket (unclipped Fine) with the book bound in blue cloth boards with a sewn binding plus a bound in bookmark and black titling on the spine (250pp). An uncommon book in any condition let alone this state of being unread and new Fine/Fine bar very slight crumple to upper DJ edge… Usual slipcase wear – a collector or fan’s delight this copy of a limited, numbered, signed and slipcased edition. A high quality release from PS Publishing. Thanks for viewing my books, hope you find something you want, all items from my personal collection accumulated over the last 45+years, now need to move some of them on for various reasons to people who will appreciate them.
