Published 1999 by Coron Verlag, Lachen, in a limited edition of 980 this is copy no. Facsimile reproduction of the entire original document that is as accurate as possible (size, format, color). Binding made of red silk with an elaborately designed, partially gold-plated sterling silver jewelry clasp. All-round gold edges in real gold. 724 pages / 10.3 × 7.0 cm. Commentary volume (182 pages) by Eberhard König, Bodo Brinkman, Fedje Anzelewsky and Frauke Steenbock (Language: German). Both housed in a noble green velvet clamshell box with a leather label for the title. The magnificent manuscript contains prayers and pious texts for private devotion, which are enriched by a total of 27 full-page and 47 smaller miniatures with biblical scenes. There are also 16 pages with a particularly rich and three-dimensional border decoration of blossoms, buds, acanthus and butterflies. There have already been numerous speculations in research about the artist of this outstanding Flemish illumination. It probably comes from the Master of Mary of Burgundy, who was active at the end of the 15th century and is stylistically close to the works of the old Dutch painter Hugo van der Goes.
