This is one of a mere 150 copies printed of the numbered slipcased state and is the only copy available for sale anywhere as far as I can tell. Additionally, setting this copy apart from others is the fact that this copy has a unique original remarque in the form of a beautiful drawing of the eponymous Raven by illustrator Eli John. The book also comes with a few bookmarks and a postcard.

This series is absolutely the most extravagant and beautiful books that I’ve ever seen. Special bindings, signed and numbered, specially illustrated, heavy duty slip cases, just magnificent! Incredibly high end, no expense spared level books. I’ve tried to show as many elements in my pictures as I can so you know what you’re getting. So comb thru the pics to get the general idea of condition. This is from my mothers collection. She has about 30 of them. Some I have already listed, some I still need to. If there is one from this series you are looking for let me know. The condition of the book it self is very good+. Don’t think they’ve been read. But the slip case does have wear. They’ve just been sitting on a shelf for over 40 years, but dust, shuffling, etc. They do have imperfections. You can see my feed back. Rare 1st/1st White’s Books Fine Edition Sonnets And Poems, William Shakespeare
An incredibly rare find. A near fine, untouched edition from White’s Books’ 2008 limited pressing of this classic. The only condition remarks concern very very light shelf wear. The book is tightly bound, unread and difficult to photograph internally. A small print run collection of classic literature – very popular with collectors and increasingly difficult to find now. Each book is bound in cloth and features unique wraparound artwork by different contemporary artists – working under the brief of designing a non-repeating narrative pattern. The books are largish hardbacks with Smyth-sewn pages; they use thick, acid-free paper and the top edges are colour-stained; and they include a bound-in ribbon bookmark. Internally, the books have illustrated endpapers (an inverted version of the cover design) and a decorative title page, and the text is elegantly typeset in Monotype Haarlemmer, and right-facing pages are joined to the overleaf by a catchword: an older practice wherein a hanging word at the bottom of the page provides the opening of the following page (intended to assist with reading flow).
