Lomax’s introduction begins by describing how Caddo Parish Studdard III introduced him to Van Zandt in 1966 in Austin, and goes on to postulate that he may be one of the greatest songwriters of the twentieth century–a claim that was a bit audacious at the time of this book’s publication, but one that is today accepted as a fact among folk music enthusiasts and scholars. The Super Deluxe Edition will feature the classic album remastered for the very first time, 63 previously unreleased tracks, and a previously unreleased 2+ hour video concert performance from Princes legendary vault that illuminates his wide-ranging and prolific creativity in this era. Following the successful release of the 1999 Super Deluxe Edition in the fall of 2019, the Sign O The Times Super Deluxe Edition represents the deepest dive to date into Princes vault and includes a total of 92 audio tracks across thirteen LPs. 92 audio tracks, of which 63 are previously unreleased, including 45 studio tracks from Princes Vault. Opens with Princes iconic album, Sign O The Times, dazzlingly remastered for the very first time by Princes original mastering engineer Bernie Grundman.
