The original decorative cloth binding features an attractive Art Nouveau / Glasgow Style design to the front board and spine. Condition. Covers: Original cloth boards with decorative design. Some rubbing, light marks and small scuffs consistent with age, with a bit of wear to corners and spine ends. Spine: Intact and legible, binding feels sound. Pages: Generally clean, but with scattered foxing/age spotting, especially to the preliminary and title pages (see photos). Edges and endpapers show expected age toning. No loose pages noted; a solid copy for its age. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description. A scarce and handsome volume for anyone interested in Glasgow history, Scottish ecclesiastical architecture, or Glasgow Cathedral itself – and an attractive example of late-19th-century decorative book design.
