More Collector’s Edition By Rankin Hand Signed Cover with signed and numbered photo print in portfolio Number 5/100 Very Rare. Limited Edition of only 100 hand signed copies. 368 pp Hardcover with jacket and red hand-painted title by Rankin himself, clamshell presentation box and hard sleeve portfolio with one signed and numbered 5/100 archival photoprint “Don’t be afraid, i love you” with certificate of authenticity. Published in three languages: English / German / French. 300 color and duotone photographs. The British photographer Rankin and co-founder of Dazed & Confused magazine and founder of Hunger magazine, released a major retrospective of his photographs titled More. The book includes photos taken over the 20 years of work, and for convenience, it was decided to sort them by chapters (“Fashion “, ” Myths “, “Beauty”, ” Portraits “, ” Nude”). About More, Rankin says, If you look at my work and compare it to others, it’s a little uncomfortable, a bit strange, and a bit challenging. I think my pictures are anti-celebrity-get them off the pedestal, get them face-to-face. If you look at the work, it’s leveling. So the “Portraits ” chapter includes shootings of Scarlett Johansson, Jay-Z, Heidi Klum, the Rolling Stones and other celebrities. In addition, it presents photos taken by Rankin for his joint book with artist Damien Hirst, Myths, Monsters and Legends. British novelist and author of MORE’s foreword, William Boyd, reveals: There are wonderful portraits in this book, world-class, in my opinion, where we see that Rankin has managed to garner something new about even the most familiar faces. This is a very scarce collector’s item. Condition is very good with shelf wear & tear marks to the presentation box (this is due to the immense weight of the book itself). Print and hard portfolio sleeve is in mint condition. Hardcover Book is in very good condition with a small tear to lower spine section (see photo) this is due to the immense weight of the book. Three light fingermarks to the interior of the first three pages. Dust jacket has a slight fold to the inside, might have been caused when the jackets were signed by Rankin.
