I have here for sale quite possibly one of the most luxurious Molière sets one could hope to own, boasting over 100 plates engraved by Hillmacher – a fine engraver of the time-, incredible signed bindings and finally amazing quality of printing on fine paper with exceptional typography. The set was published in 1864 and through the following 6 years, it includes the complete works of Molière and is in amazing condition- bindings by a fine binder of the time still gleaming. The set boasts 8/8 volumes but also has some very minor damage to bindings (Photos), some sunning to the spines and some minor foxing on the interior, which is also complete. The books are housed in full navy Morocco of very high quality and in incredible condition. The books boast large margins and all edges gilded (AEG), boosting their already ridiculous amounts of opulence. 23 x 15 cm Books seem to be signed by a publisher of some sort and numbered by hand? – not very sure.
