VISIONAIRE 39 PLAY #0283 Of 4000 Limited Edition Book Flip Books Set Collectable
With 39 PLAY, Visionaire began to experiment with the moving image. PLAY developed as an issue devoted to film, featuring the work of directors like Pedro Almodóvar and Darren Aronofsky, as well as high-fashion lensmen like Nick Knight and Craig McDean. Presented in collaboration with Sony PlayStation, the issue melded the high-tech worlds of gaming and video with the retro, lo-fi, tactile sensibilities of flip-books. From Karl Lagerfeld’s footage of a blooming flower to Baz Luhrmann’s film of a sultry cancan dance, PLAY took a vintage publishing format and placed it resolutely in the present. For his flip-book, Steven Meisel imagined model Amber Valletta as “Little Edie” Beale from Grey Gardens. Imaginary Forces and Greg Lynn.

Evaristo Gherardi Le Theatre Italien de Gherardi 1721 French Italian Play Book. Evaristo Gherardi (born 11 Novembre 1663 in Prato, Tuscany; assassinated 31 August 1700 in Paris), known in France as Évariste Gherardi, was an Italian actor and playwright, who arrived in France at the beginning of the 1670s. Member of the Comédie Italienne (1689-97), usually played Arlequin; i n 1694 published’Le Théâtre Italien’, which gathers the texts used by the troupe; r etired after the expulsion of the Comédie Italienne in 1697. See photos for more details. Clean pages, no writing on pages or discoloration, images are crisp and clear, minor discoloration on cover and spine. Part of title on spine has chipped off but can still be read clearly. Inner paper has detached slightly from hardback cover but hasn’t not affected the spine/binding.
